I have fallen madly in love…

with Horror Films. I just watched the original House on Haunted Hill… Vincent Price still rocks my mis-matched socks. I am official one month into production of Devolution, and things are progressing well – we added another producer to the project.

The EP is almost finished (yay!) – I’m just having some perfectionista tendencies and its obnoxious to even myself, so I can’t imagine how it is for everyone else. Anyway, it is supposed to be due out 11/10, so watch out :)

I have written a new, super secret, special song for someone who knows not of my existence. It’s fabulous (not the song so much as the feeling). Perhaps one day it will make it on an album or something, and this individual will have special “thank you” credit.

Anyway, out of my creepy, cryptic speak… I may be hitting the Big Apple sooner than I anticipated. I may be making a pre-Christmas excursion to my adopted hometown (♥). I probably won’t be doing any work on this trip, but it will be exciting nonetheless. Who knows? Maybe I’ll do a show or two since I’ll be in town anyway.

Also, I am considering a short vacay in Toronto this coming Spring — good idea?

You can’t catch me…

I am working on a special song right now… top secret. The new album is getting off to a slow, not-so-smooth start. As I mentioned before, it’s my current back-burner project. I have switched into actor mode for the winter. I am still finishing the new EP (it’s almost ready, I swear) and my film project, Devolution, is slowly but surely headed toward a year-end release.

I literally just opened the NING — so go join it! <3

Estoy entusiasmada! Todo va bien. Voy a ir a la ciudad Nueva York despues del ano nuevo. ¡Gracias por seguirme por este tiempo emocionante!

new song

Since it’s almost Halloween, I felt like sharing. This is a song from the DEVOLUTION soundtrack that I literally finished final mixing on just minutes ago. It’s called “Novacaine” and very different from my usual stuff.

Feel free to leave comments, especially if you think it sucks. I think it’s funny :)

The soundtrack should be pretty cool, because we have music from some newer rock artists like Riley Compton and the Living Martyrs. Anyway, here is a free listen to “Novacaine”

Enjoy a fun track that will, unfortunately, probably never make the cut for the EP:

Project Update :)

After I release the Feels Like Home EP, I may go on a short musical hiatus before beginning the new album. This morning, I have begun pre-production on a film project [Devolution] and that may consume a bit of my time before LP production. Also, I have quite been neglecting my on-going Some Kind of Miracle film project, so I must tend to that. I will, of course, continue to update you and write music (I can’t seem to stop). Thank you for your continued love and support :)

2 Tracks in the TOP 10 :)

“What Your Love Could Do” has joined “Love Me Too” in the Top 10 of F3’s music charts. If they both make it to the #1 spot (obviously, not at the same time) I might be compelled to plant a tree or something to commemorate them.

I cherish your kindness :) We could be great together…

Give me a big “Yay!” for broken bones

I am quite convinced I have broken a meta-tarsal or two in my left foot. It kills. I will keep my complaining to a minimum because many others are undergoing much worse. Meanwhile, I have gone brunette again for a film project. Don’t think I like it much, but what can you do?

I am working on a video blog at the moment, hopefully it will make its way onto the site someday.

Thank you for making “Love Me Too” break the top 10!!!

You guys are awesome, enough said. But I shall continue… I cannot express how amazing it feels to have your own songs rise up thee charts. Having had five cover tracks reach #1 does not lessen the excitement a bit. Finally, my words… my music is reaching more people. I love the freedom to share my hopes, dreams, and despair with other people. Thanks for your amazingness <3

More Goodies

I have been chipping away and working on demo’s for the EP release. I have to demo all the tracks so that I get a rough idea of how they sound with my instrumentation and effects and such… then I will work on different combinations of tracks to figure out which songs stay and which songs go.

Just so you can see (or hear, rather) what I have been up to…

If No One Will Listen (Sample)*

As you have probably gathered, I have not settled on a track list; so not all of the previewed material will show up as a final version on the EP. I have been considering having people vote on their favorite tracks. I am also debating whether the EP will be strictly covers or if it will include some new original material.

Visit the Rckstr4lfe Records merch shop and buy some gear to promote my new labelmate, Riley Compton.

P.S. This song has nothing to do with the EP project, but was feeling lonely on the hard drive:
